VESTIBULE – WALL 2

(26)

The original width of the entrance ET of the tomb was 1.08 m.
Because of the width of the sarcophagus (1.35 m), it was necessary to broaden the entrance from 1.08 m to 1.73 m before the entombment of the prince.
During the mummification process of the prince, the destroyed parts of wall 2 were restored, but they were never repainted.
The original wall paintings on wall 2 were nearly completely destroyed, due to the widening of ET.
Only the two cartouches of Pharaoh Ramesses III, depicted in the upper right corner of the wall, have been preserved (76)
