EASTERN LATERAL ANNEX - WALL 18

(26)

On wall 18 of the eastern lateral annex of the vestibule are depicted the goddess Serket on the left and the goddess Neith on the right (146).
In front of the face of the goddess Neith, a hieroglyphic column is depicted with the text: ‘Words spoken by Neith’.
In front of goddess Serket’s face, a hieroglyphic column is shown with the text: ‘Words spoken by Serket’.
The painters of the wall made two errors: they placed the hieroglyphic symbol for the goddess Nephthys above the goddess Serket’s head, and the hieroglyphic symbol for the goddess Isis above Neith’s head.
The wall paintings between the lower edge of the dresses of both goddesses and the bottom edge of the wall have been lost.
